Management Advisory Council

Management Advisory Council (MAC) is a professional Chicago area organization promoting effective business leadership through executive development groups. Through an ongoing network of professionals, our members share insights, abilities, and knowledge in an open and constructive way.

Our experienced facilitators and committed professional members have helped each other to explore solutions, make effective decisions and sustain levels of success that are crucial in the ever-changing corporate environment.

Groups

Management Advisory Council (MAC) currently operates the following executive development groups:

Financial Group: This group is composed of Chief Financial Officers and Controllers from a wide variety of companies in non competing industries. Members are experienced financial executives and very committed to the group.
Human Resources Group: The HR Group was formed to provide a confidential forum and outside group of advisors for HR Directors and Managers. Speakers are brought in to each meeting on topics of interest to the members.
Professional's Group: This group was designed to meet the unique needs of entrepreneurs, sole proprietors, and consultants. Members challenge one another to create and operate by sound business plans, and to make and achieve goals.
Manager's Group: The Manager's Group focuses on building the management skills and growing the general business knowledge and leadership skills of its executive members. Participants rank among a core group of management in their companies. Members are from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds. This group covers general business topics including: legal, finance, human resources, operations, sales, and accounting.

Meetings

Each group is facilitated by MAC professionals and meetings are held monthly, for a half-day. The confidential discussions focus on specific group members' issues and general topics of interest pertinent to that group. The meeting sites rotate among the members' businesses where tours are sometimes conducted so that the group may offer feedback on a specific area of concern or targeted improvement. Your group and your facilitator have but one objective: to meet your needs for information and education to improve your skills, your company's operations, and corporate results. In addition, group members become your confidantes, friends, and an unlimited source of experience.

Networking

The varied companies and backgrounds of the group members allow you a limitless source of information and expertise. No matter what the circumstance or problem, we can usually provide the answer or referral you may need.

Resources

On a periodic basis, pertinent resources are brought into each group's meetings for presentations that clarify and enhance your knowledge on a key subject of interest to all. You have direct access to an expert who can help improve your skills, your practices, and your understanding.
